Hello!
Welcome to our website. Through these pages you will be able to find out more of our group F.M.T. (Frinton Musical Theatre). Things such as where and when our shows are and how to get in on the action!
We are a theatre group based in Walton on the Naze. We rehearse twice a week on a Monday and Thursday evening from 7:30pm until 9:30pm at the Red Triangle Club. We are always looking for new faces to join our friendly group. We are always in need of more talented singers, actors and dancers. If you have a touch of stage fright there's plenty to do behind the scenes too! From working the sound and lights to creating and building the sets for the productions. Although we are a small group we don't do things on small scale! We perform our shows in the Columbine Centre in the summer in Walton on the Naze then our pantomimes in December/January we perform at Clacton on sea's Westcliff Theatre.
Everyone who joins the group has great opportunity. You are given the chance to get in on choreography, musical direction and direction itself! We welcome people too who just want to be part of the chorus how far you go is entirely up to you! Best of all this can be from most ages! We recently had one of our younger members of the group aged 10years choreograph one of the dances and it was well deserved. Our group ranges from our youngest member being 7 years old the oldest being 70 plus! (They would shoot me if I told you their actual age!). If you have problems in any of the activities, we're there to guide you all the way. We are great at boosting your confidence to get you performing a solo in front of hundreds of people! More than that it's a great way to meet new people we have no clicky circles and are welcoming to new faces.
We are always looking for musicians as well, we used to have a pianist but sadly she left us so at present we are using midi files and pre recorded music although the quality is still of high standards we do prefer to have musicians willing to work with the group or along side the musical director with harmonies. It doesn't just have to be piano you play we would love to hear any instrument you have to offer!

FMT go to the West End!!!

The under 30's of our group have been invited to perform in Her Majesty's Theatre in a Variety Show Young Performers.
These members are taking part on the 4th June 2006. They have worked really hard and we are very proud of them! Well Done Guys!
Alongside this we are still continuing with rehersals for Robin Hood which are also going well. Taking place in the Columbine Centre, Walton on the Naze on the 17th, 18th and 19th August 2006. Look out for ticket sales it won't be long!
