She who Dares! Outdoor sports club for women
SHE WHO DARES! An outdoor adventure sports group for women in Harlow and the surrounding areas. The group meets on Wednesday mornings throughout the year (during Essex term time) to participate in new and exciting outdoor sports and challenges. Most of the activities take place at Harlow Outdoor Pursuits Centre, (Burnt Mill Lane, Harlow, Essex CM20 2QS) but we sometimes travel to other venues for special treats or different events.

No previous experience is required to join the group and we are fully supervised by qualified instructors from the Outdoor Centre or at the other venues we visit.

THE ACTIVITIES: canoeing, kayaking, climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, problem solving, orienteering, archery, bumbles, dragon boating, high ropes, rambles, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, rowing, off-road boarding and more!

WHAT TO BRING: £7 and a change of clothes (or hire a wet suit), shoes to get wet (or mucky), wash kit, grit, determination and a sense of humour!

TIME: 9.30am-12noon, Wednesday mornings. Harlow Outdoors Centre, Burntmill Lane, Harlow, Essex CM20 2QS. 01279 432031

She who Dares!
Dare you jump off the pipe bridge? She who Dares! (Formerly known as The Women's group) have recently undergone a name change to reflect the increasing demands and expectations of its growing members.

The group, which meets every Wednesday morning at Harlow Outdoors Centre, was formed about 20 years ago and now women of all ages and abilities meet each week to take part in new and exciting challenges they may not have considered before.

Many women join the group once their children have started nursery or school. Some once they have retired. (Some to avoid the housework!) But most join to experience a real buzz from the great sense of achievement, exhilaration and team spirit the sessions can bring.

Every May the group gets away for an action packed 3-day break to experience real rock climbing, kayaking or new outdoor sports. In 2006 the group went to Scotland to have a go at bridge swinging, river 'duckies', abseiling, canyoning and white water rafting.
