Want to learn new skills and meet new friends?
Then, why not do some voluntary work?
VCC has been helping people into volunteering since 1997 and during that time has seen over 4,000 people interested in getting involved. We have over 220 local voluntary organisations registered with us, all needing volunteers.
The type of opportunities on offer currently, include; driving, admin, tutoring, conservation, sports coaching, advice/support, retail, trusteeships, museums, event organising, fundraising etc. etc. ..anything and everything.
VCC believes everyone has the right to volunteer but not everyone finds it easy to get started.
Volunteering is extremely beneficial to people recovering from mental ill-health or bereavement and VCC's Support Worker is here to help those who need a little extra help to get involved.
Volunteering is also great for young people as it gives them a chance to make a difference, try out career choices and help in their community. VCC's youth worker helps young people into volunteering, working mainly through local schools.
If you are interested in finding out about volunteering please call us on 01245 283606. We can arrange for you to visit which will give us a chance to find out about your interests, reasons for volunteering, times available, any particular skills and other relevant information.
We will then be able to give you details of suitable organisations, allowing you to proceed as you choose.
