WHERE IS IT?
Where is the Garden?
In Maldon, Essex. In White Horse Lane, next to the County Library. Access is from either White Horse Lane or from the High Street through an alley called Chequer's Lane between Barclay's Bank and Iceland Stores. The garden is very small, only about one-fifth of an acre and it is bounded on all sides by high red-brick and stone walls and the only entrance is a narrow gate in the wall.
The paths are rather narrow, the surface is of gravel and grass - it may be difficult for invalids in wheelchairs to get around the entire garden but access to part is available and the garden can still be seen and enjoyed.

There is a public carpark in White Horse Lane. Parking on Sundays and Bank Holidays is FREE.

See under FOR MORE INFORMATION for a street map.
