The Camulodunum Speakers Club exists to help its members develop skills in leadership and communication in a friendly and helpful environment. These skills leads to increased personal confidence and enhanced personal development. For more information about the Club please look at the site in this catagory named, "Public Speaking Training".
The club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month (unless there is a public holiday) at Oaks Hospital, Oaks Place Mile End Road Colchester. Meetings start at 7.45 pm promptly, visitors are advised to be there by 7.35 pm, and ends at 10.00pm.
Visitors are always welcome.

Speech contest winner

In October 2005 James McGinty, a member of the club for 18 months, won the Home Counties Humorous Speech Contest. The trophy was presented by District Governor Lynda Molloy.
To get to the contest James won both the club and East Anglian rounds of the contest. He now goes on to compete in the UK and Ireland championship which takes place in Leamington Spa in November.
